Kosher

What is Kosher and why is it important?

Kosher means healthy eating. It is a dietary principle where we eat certain foods. It is important because it based on dietary regulations of the Tanakh and is beneficial for our physical and spiritual wellbeing. This law was given to us thousands of years ago and only now science has now also shown that many foods that are not kosher carry parasites that are harmful to men. For example, uncooked foods can give you salmonella and food poisoning.

Healthy eating The Laws

  • We cannot eat an animal with the blood

  • Any food from the sea that we eat must have fins and scales.

  • We cannot mix animal milk with meat 

  • We cannot eat raw meat
